Using Evidenced-Based Research to Find the Most Effective School-Based Suicide Prevention Programs

A recent study published in the Archives of Suicide Research looked at school-based suicide prevention programs. The focus was on evaluation of 29 published studies for 12 programs that coincide with the criteria of the Suicide Training and Awareness Nationally Delivered for Universal Prevention Act of 2021 (STANDUP). Adapt for Life was assigned a high level of evidence in providing suicide education/awareness, increasing help-seeking behaviors for self and others, and decreasing suicidal thoughts and behaviors.
